all directions may change without notice.

From Downtown (Stations): Take the Metro Light Rail 700, (it runs on Main St.) going South toward the Texas Medical Center. Get off at the Museum Station. Follow "Museum Station:" directions below.

From Greyhound: Go out the front door on Main St, turn right and cross Gray street toward McDonalds and go to the Metro Bus Light Rail Station (between Pierce and St. Joeseph) in the middle of Main St. Follow the "From Downtown:" directions above. A Taxi to the hostel is about $8 to $10. Taxis around the Greyhound Station are required to take you to the destination of your choice, even if only a mile and a half away (they may not want to). You are NOT required to pay the taxi driver any additional fees other than the cab fare listed on the meter.

From AMTRAK: Walk 7 blocks East on Preston to Main street, for a Metro Lightrail at the Preston station, take the rail south on the "Fannin South" train. Get off the rail at Museum station. Taxi to the hostel from the AMTRAK costs about $9.

From Bush Intercontinental Airport: Between 5:40am to 12:05am weekdays and 5:20am to 10:50pm weekends, take Metro bus #102 downtown. TRANSFERING TO: the Light Rail at the "Downtown Station" (get off the bus at PIERCE ST. and MAIN ST.) Other times (see NOTE below) take the Airport Shuttle to the Warwick Hotel, then take a cab or walk to the hostel. Or the Taxi fare from Bush Airport is approximately $38.00.

From Hobby Airport (via #73 Bus): Take Metro #73 to "TMC Transit Center" in the Medical Center, transfer to Metro Light Rail 700. Get off the Light Rail at the "Museum Station" and follow "From Museum Station" directions below. Or the Taxi fare from Hobby is approximately $28.00

From Hobby Airport (via #88 Bus): Take Metro #88 to "Downtown Station" (get off at Main St.) Follow the "From Downtown Station:" directions above. Or the Taxi fare from Hobby is approximately $28.00

By car from Hwy(59), I-45: Go south on Hwy(288). Exit Southmore and make a right onto Southmore. Go four streets to Crawford and turn left. Hostel is one block down; on the right side.

From Museum Station: Exit rail car; go back(north) the way you just came from; to the first street you come to (BINZ ST.) turn right(east) on BINZ ST. walk 5 blocks down BINZ to CRAWFORD ST. Turn left on CRAWFORD St. and walk 3 blocks to OAKDALE (5302 Crawford St.); the house on the left is the Hostel. Look for the FLAGS.

NOTE: If your arriving at the Hostel late in the evening, keep in mind that the office closes at 11pm. You may make arrangements to arrive in late if you call the hostel during office hours.

To Galleria: Walk to Museum Station, get the train to the "Main Street Square Station" downtown. Walk north one block to Walker St. and catch the #82 Westheimer bus. Ride about seven miles to Post Oak St. (right after going under the 610Loop freeway.) The mall is on the left side.

To Astrodome: Get on the Light Rail at the "Museum Station" and get off at the "Reliant Park Station."

To NASA: Get on the Light Rail at the "Museum Station" and get off at the "Downtown Station." Change to the #246/#247 bus to Bay Area (NASA) Ask the person at the Hostel Desk for details about getting to NASA. The last bus comming back from the NASA area is about 5:30pm, DON'T miss it! Taxi from NASA is approximately $56.00!

To DRIVEAWAY: There is no longer a good bus to take to get to the driveaway. The 56 will get you close but it's not a good area there so walking the last mile is not good.
